Map Applications Poster Exhibition Opened to Visitors

As part of the Map Applications course conducted under the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, students presented their research poster projects in an exhibition organized at the end of the semester. The students’ applied mapping studies, carried out throughout the term, attracted attention with both their technical content and visual presentation quality.

During the exhibition, students introduced various types of maps in groups, explaining in detail how they are produced in practice and in which fields they are used. The posters covered a wide range of topics, from thematic mapping and cadastral studies to satellite image analysis and land use mapping.

The exhibition provided an opportunity for students to combine theoretical knowledge with practice and showcase their creativity. It also aimed to raise professional awareness among architecture and urban planning students, offering an interdisciplinary learning environment.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Lecturer Kayhan Aladoğan, Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning. Dr. Aladoğan emphasized that, in addition to technical development, he values students’ presentation skills, noting that such activities make a significant contribution to their professional growth.

The exhibition concluded with great interest and participation from students, faculty members, and visitors to the department.
